Our church will be celebrating the Fourth of July next Sunday with a church picnic held under the picnic shelter. We will be serving lunch of Hot Dogs and Hamburgers. Last Sunday we had persons to sign up to bring some fixings for the meal but we could use some more help. We have persons who are bringing mayonnaise, ketchup, mustard, relish and some tomatoes and sliced cheese. The church will provide the burgers and hotdogs and buns. We have two
volunteers for homemade chili and slaw. We also have one watermelon coming with three teas, two lemonades and a couple of soft drinks. We need some more volunteers for chips, desserts, homemade ice cream freezers, lettuce, tomatoes, and onions. If you would like to bring any the above please do.
We would like for you to bring your lawn chairs and some casual clothes as we are hoping to enjoy some Christian fellowship with games such as corn hole and volleyball in addition to singing.
Our interim pastor David Allred is bringing his guitar, but we would love to have others share some music as well. Many of you have indicated that you wish the Service on the Mountain was more often than once a year. Hopefully our backyard Fourth of July picnic will be another fun tradition for our church. Look forward to seeing all of you next Sunday at lunch. Remember to wear your red, white and blue.
